EMERGING PRODUCER NON-FICTION TV COMPETITION

CableU is proud to announce the 2nd Annual Emerging Producer Non-Fiction TV Competition, taking place at the 2010 NATPE Convention in Las Vegas!  We’re giving independent producers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to pitch program ideas to leading industry executives. Three program pitches will be selected for the idea’s uniqueness, strength of the pitch, and series viability.  The selected producers will receive free registration to NATPE 2010 so they can pitch their non-fiction program ideas to the development team of distributor CABLEready during a dedicated conference session, "NATPE Opportunity of a Lifetime."

The winner of the “Emerging Producer” competition will receive a one-year membership to CableU and a possible one-year representation deal from CABLEready

Submission guidelines:

1) ELIGIBILITY

All works must be independently produced and non-fiction in nature.

2) DEADLINE

All pitches must be submitted by December 2, 2009

3) SUBMISSION FORM

Click here to download the form, and be sure to include a printed copy with your submission. When submitting more than one title, please submit an entry form for each submission.

4) SUPPORT MATERIAL

Submission must include:
- Printed and signed submission form
- Written Treatment
- Optional: VHS/DVD preview copy no more than 5 minutes in length (please do not send masters or irreplaceable cassettes)
- Biography/ filmography
- Optional relevant material such as press kit or longer synopsis

6) NOTIFICATION

A confirmation notice will not follow hard copy submissions received by CableU. Submissions selected for the competition will be notified by December 5, 2009. Preview tapes will not be returned unless a self-addressed stamped envelope is included.
