WHAT MAKES THEM UNIQUE:Epix is a multiplatform entertainment channel, video-on-demand and online service. They have access to more than 15,000 motion pictures as well as libraries of the partner studios.

Prior to its launch on October 30, new premium channel Epix said it will add original scripted programming to its lineup in the near future, reports THR. The joint venture of Viacom, Paramount, MGM and Lionsgate, is aiming for its first original scripted fare, likely a miniseries, to debut in third quarter 2010. Epix also has the miniseries Atlas Shrugged in development and the likely drama series Tough Trade in the pipeline. The premium network has plans to premiere a new scripted project each quarter, alternating between miniseries and 13-episode series.
